3D Printing is increasingly gaining interest in medicine. However, clinical implementation is far from reality due to many different factors. Development of 3D models often requires expensive software and again expert knowledge. Current state-of-the-art 3D printers are very expensive, require extensive maintenance and expert knowledge.
Due to the high physician workload, there is ample time to invest in 3D model development and in gaining 3D printing expertise. Driven by needs from within the surgical theater, from surgical planning to surgery itself, 3D Guided Surgery was founded.
5 years proven track record in FDM & SLA printing. No matter the complication, we have it covered.

Medical doctor & Urology resident
Pieter is a urologist in training. He obtained his medical degree in 2018 and his engineering degree in 2013. He strongly believes in the added value of 3D models for surgical planning of complex procedures. During the first part of his training, he was a resident in general, vascular, cardiac and orthopedic surgery. Hence, he understands the procedures and their bottlenecks. He loves to translate clinical questions and needs into practical 3D solutions.
Dimitri obtained his engineering degree in 2013 and has an immense technical background in interventional procedures, both from a technical as well as medical physics background. He is finishing his PhD in radiation physics. As such, he spent plenty of time supporting interventional radiologist and cardiologist in hybrid ORs. He gained practical expert knowledge in the planning of interventional procedures by means of virtual as well as printed 3D models. His previous work experience as engineer at General Electric Healthcare Systems and his abundant software knowledge allows for fast, precise and affordable 3D model making and intra-operative mapping.
